> WET NUNS
Yorkshire just keeps on delivering in the riff stakes. And as we all know, the two-piece is the new power trio and these guys aim to prove that. Despite having the in-between song banter of an actual nun, they make the loudest, bluesiest racket which comes close to making your ears bleed. Looking at their gruesome videos, this is probably their aim. Gloriously gory.
Their latest success comes in the form of their roaring recent single ‘Throttle' out in March. This explosive single is heavily packed full of huge rifling guitars that will make your stomach churn in delight, along with ugly drumbeats stamped all over the track for good measure. The northern power-death-blues-punk duo, who are renowned for their chaotic live performances, throw all their trademark originalities into the mix, making it one hell of a growling track to listen to.

GODZILLA BLACK
"Godzilla went to school with Dick Dale, The Residents and Melvins, but spent too much time sniffing Tippex in the toilets." (The Naked Claw).
Try to imagine the already out to lunch New York headcases LIARS materialising in North London intent on out-doing everything that rocks and anything off the wall from Bo Ningen to Pulled Apart by Horses. Godzilla are tribal and twangy, soundtracky yet heavy like Satan's own backing band have possessed them. Giving away their superb new album on download too!

> PANTS NEST
Pants Nest sound nasty but dress up nice. Don't be confused by the four-pieces black ties and suits because behind the facade is an industrial squall of noise making that uses the grooves of LIARS (and I mean ten minute workouts) with the riffage of Slayer. Who knows what evil lurks in the grooves of their debut EP 'Rest Your Cheeks' featuring tracks 'Edible Oediple', 'Got It Mist Um' and the 12 min 'Dr Unk'.
A industrially destructive and artful new member of the New Heavy Sounds cannon - they sound scary.
